has anyone ever broken off their solo x bolts? i just broke one today, i didn't really feel like i over tightened it, but i guess i did. where can i get some spare ones or can i just use a standard bolt, but maybe a grade 8?

Yup i busted tons with minimal hand tension and put a rant on here gettin locked right away.
Kicker is back ordered BIG time...

I just bought some galvinizedies from the hardwear store. worked good enough.

1/4" Lag bolts work great!

P.S. the bolts they send Suck!!!!! (No offense to the manufacturer of said bolt or woofer!)

Just find a bolt that is the same size, it will work. If you find a grade 8 and are snapping those I suggest you quit letting barry bonds tighten your bolts.

I hear you can drill those holes right out and use some big ones because the bolt hole is like an inch or more from the surround.

i feel better that i'm not the only one how's broken a bolt with min force. i will try to find a grade 8 bolt cuz i'm sure they are going to be a lot stronger

run some 10-24 bolts from behind the steel ring and use wings on the front of the woofer. thats what i do
