i want to redo my install in my 98 malibu. right now its just a dealer box sitting in the trunk and it doesnt sound the way i know its got the potential to. heres the a quick rundown of my equipment:
CDT EF-61a 6 1/2 components 3 JL Audio 12w3's Rockford Fosgate 800.2 for the subs Premier 320 on the highs
What im thinking is firing the subs into the cabin, to reduce the amount of rattles that i would have to deal with. I would of course seal the box off from the rest of the trunk with fiberglass. Also want to do a ported setup and squeeze the biggest box possible into my trunk. I guess something similar to meades install in his civic
does this sound like the best way to do it? im looking for SPL. Something competition worthy. can you guys come up with some better ideas for me?
