Is this a stupid Idea? I'm sure people must do it all the time especially all the crx's. Thats why I bought a hatchback, Its just not as easy as the rex. DBdrag section is too serious and I got no replies, I guess i'm not cool enough lawl.
So If you were gonna buy a CHEAP car that you thought would be the loudest for street a,b, and and maybe a little bassrace what would it be? excludes crx, panda, festiva. As in what car do you think would be really really easy to get loud. And I don't wanna hear that it all depends on the install. I have only a couple cars that come to mind: chevy monza,chevette,vega/cosworth vw rabbit ford pinto hahaha.

If you are buying a car, just for car audio, dont bother unless you are gonna buy a crx, plain and simple.

Why cause its been tested and works? I think there are cars that work better. A bmw Isetta is my dream car right now, and if it just so happened to peak at 80 hz I wouldn't be upset. Every crx has all kinds of dents and has over 200,000 miles. And they are still expensive. I do however love how they look, the shape and body lines.

I guess going to a junk yard with the termlab and testing every car there lol. I used to thin it was just the shape of the car that matters. But it is frequency dependent and alot of other factors come into play. Its too complicated to choose a car. I'm driving an integra right now.

You also need to factor in the registration and plates on the car every year. That could put strain on your budget, dont forget insurance per month too. Yeah, i had 2 cars for about a year. Had more problems with the car then it was worth so there went that idea. To me, its not worth it.

I own my car, it will not have any problems for a long time except tires. But wanting to win is a weighing factor. I guess I should spend 3 grand on equipment and get this car as loud as possible before changing vehicles.

I had the same thing in mind with my 85' Dodge Caravan Cargo van. It still sits at my step dads house and probably won't see another system in it forever. All depends, always a constant thought in the back of my mind. A wall is my dream for it.

I just bought a '90 crx for $75. Needs a little body work.
Just keep an eye out and grab one when it becomes available. I just buy and sell them as I deem reasonable, and usually make a little money, lol. (This is my third CRX)
Teg's are much harder than CRXs to get loud (I have a '95), and what's wrong with trailoring a street car? If you have an SUV available it's cheaper than insuring and registering it.

If you are wanting something cheap I have 2 vehicles.
One is a 84 CRX for $500 and the other is a 90 Storm GSi for $350. Both need a little work but the bodies are pretty much just fine.
I would also agree with some of the above statements in that if you want the easiest gain it would be to buy a CRX. And yes they can be found for cheap enough if you keep looking.
