some of you have commented on the uglyness of the tablet computer in my dash. agreed what did was spur of the moment and it could have never looked right anyways in the dash...so the tablet was broken down and here are the pics so far
BEFORE
IN THE WORKS:
right now its in the dash but the screen is not attached, i will have more pictures tomarrow when the screen is in the dash. then i will be making a trim plate to cover up the edges of the screen. but now with the screen out of the big case the screen can now be mounted flush and at the same level and angle as the deck. also the screen is 8.4"

that is pretty cool. I was actually thinking about just running a normal computer and an inverter as the rest of my system is only going to be hooked up at comps. I really wish they would allow laptop burps that would be perfect because then i would have 2 reasons to get a laptop... meter and cd player hahaha I have like 60gb of mp3 on my computer.

i have a 30gig external in the glove box, but its not even close to full, only around 1000 tracks right now. to bad the computer runs 98 cause i would love to have a in car termlab setup. but termlab only runs off of 2000 or better. if you run a regular computer tower i wouldnt use an inverter because of voltage spikes. when i was running an inverter for the tablet i had really bad noise problems with the sound card. because you are taking 12 volts then going to 120, then going back to 12 volts.

tho personaly i would just painted the plastic trim panel to match the interior and do something with those wires..... probably just pull those out the back or if its posible to just use some 90degree adaptors.... but im not sure by looking what type cables those are. so it might not be posible...
its just your dash thats the only hard part i see about integrating it..... no realy flat spots to mount it flush...
tho i do wish i could do a computer in my truck! only thing i got hooked up to my screen is a crapy sega plugNplay turd
