ive been through so much **** tryna get a decent setup in my car and i want loud and good sound, but it seems like everything i try is just going against me. i can only fit a 2.5 cube box through the trunk, and the seat side is too short to fit a front or rear firing box in. im on the verge of just paying a restocking fee to send my head unit back and bite 40 dollars or so on that, transfer the money i was gunna buy my 20.1 with back into my account, and sell off my SE's and nine.1. im sick of NOTHING working for my car. seems like everything i do on any car i own, is near impossible.
so please ANYONE with any pics of a decent size system in an 05 mustang PLEASE post pics in here. i swear if i cant figure something out before the 4/10 meet in orlando im gunna sell everything.
PS:sealed is not an option.

any of those u listed need well over 2.5 in my opinion. a solo x 10 need 3.5 cubes atleast. L7's need prolly 2.5-3 net, and i can fit 2.7 gross, thats not gunnahappen and look good by the way.
wasnt my choice to buy a new car, wasnt allowed a used one.

or build the box inside the car...mustangs suck to build...i did 2 audiobahn flame qs and an audiobahn 2300 in a 04 cobra and it was the biggest pita in the world...
i finally ended up doing a box that resembled a truck box laying on its back inverted the subs and did an amp rack below the subs.
sounds alright for a daily bumper.
I say do 1 solo x 12 or 1 DD 9512 or a IA DP 12 or something similar in the biggest box you can fit without taking up WAY too much room.
also heres a trick you can try
your rear seats fold right? try a small sealed box at the back of the trunk firing foward basically using the opening of the trunk into the cab as the tuning of a bandpass.

my trunk slopes up though, thats what ruins things. it goes from like 18 to 11.5 pretty much. it sucks to be honest, ive tried building in trunk and its not as easy as it seems to get room like that. i dont have the tools to do a build up with crazy angles and stuff.

If you want to make the two hour drive to Tuscaloosa, I can help. Something like fiberglassed into the opening, hinged amp rack over the spare tire opening.
You'll do most of the work, and you'll need your own supplies (figerglass, sand paper, etc.), but I have the tools, and can lend a hand.

im not the best at glass, or id find a way to get it done. lol i'll figure something out. id really like a wood box with a false wall trunk side and a single type r 12 in the box, or the 2 SE's but the R has more potential IMO.

yah, ive got better if yallneed them. to do an enclosure like that would be upwards of 100-200 in supplies alone i would rather give a good shop 300 to do a box to fit my trunk and my needs.

Hmm, Infinite baffle maybe? All of this talk about not being able to fit a box, why bother having one?

well honestly i cant see you getting LOUD!! without any mods. anyway my buddy has 2 crossfire x2 15's and 2 crossfire 2000d's with 4 odysee pc2150's. but he lost his back seat and ALL his trunk space. where the back seat used to be is the big box that extends into the trunk of the car. and yes its sealed off from the trunk. Its stupid loud i will try to get pictures up for you, he stays an hour away so i may call him up and tell him to send you pics, anyway he owns an stereo shop you may want to ask him a few things.

You seem to want a big enclosure, an amp rack, but do no mods and keep access to spare tire--and you don't want to use fiberglass--or spend more than $200 on materials.
I'll be blunt---"ain't" happening.
I can see an enclosure firing through the rear seats, using some fiberglass to get the curves, and give additional air space. Cutting the spare tire cover cardboard piece, and hinging it. Building an amp rack over the spare tire cover and hinging the entire rack. Or building an amp rack in the corner areas of the trunk, or on the back wall. However, both of those would need some fiberglass work to blend them in so that they don't look like some square MDF bolted in there.
Or you could fiberglass the subs into the back corner of the trunk. Then do a amp rack across the seat opening. Remove the rear speakers to allow the bass to enter the interior.
Ditch the spare tire, do an enclosure in the spare tire area. Amps---anywhere at that point.
Don't worry about access to spare tire, build an enclosure firing through the rear seats (build in the vehicle), fiberglass a trim panel on the front side to isolate the trunk from the interior.
That's a few options. None of which are what you want.

Get a RE XXX 12 and put it in a sealed box and put imo atleast 1200 watts to it atleast. And you will be set. XXX's love sealed boxes and are loud as crap in them also. so dont think you have to be ported to be loud. You just need to build a "good" box.
