I just used the Titebond 3, it rocks. I don't even have any screws on my port plug and one part of my box and I can't pull it apart.

Any comments on that vs liquid nails?

I fist use Liquid Nails and i still use it because i have never had a problem.

As long as it glues that's all that matters...

tite bond works better than LN. titebond is wood glue which if glued and screwed or clamped right will never break on that joint even if ya take the screws out...

yup regular type wood glue, not a poly. liquid nails works good for holding braces and ports and such. it also works for those guys using a tablesaw with 40+carbide teeth...

Hey man, dont take the following as a "i dont believe you" type of response but I was talkin to my dad since he practically does everything, remodel houses, build practically anything home-wise and outdoors about what he thought about this topic.

Of course he doesn't and hasn't built speaker boxes because he isn't into that sport but his feelings are-

He didn't know about Titebond 3 being available but he uses titebond 2 for things he builds in a house or installs and of course has used Liquid Nails for other things as well.

His look at this, he told me was- Liquid Nails is an "extreme glue". He said Titebond 2 would be for smaller projects whereas LN would be for extreme measures as in glueing wood to concrete for permanent install and does not believe that I would need to use LN because of it's durability.

But, he has no experience with the new Titebond3 but I always use LN out of a caulking tube so when i lay it down, i lay down pretty good size beads. My last box i built was about 10.5 cu ft External and i went through 1.5 caulking tubes single sided box.

I just basically want your's or someone's opinion on that above.

I just don't feel i have enough knowledge to fully understand titebond 3 vs LN or actually just why LN may not be strong enough? for enclosures.

i can answer this easily wood glue soaks into both pieces of wood bonding them, LN is surface only.

dont get me wrong if i was going to glue wood to concret i too would use LN. LN is made to fill gaps and porus materials and it dose a very good job.

titebone 1,2 or 3 are all wood glues. ur dad is correct with what he is saying. there is a right glue for every application...SPLaudio,Corey

I use wood glue between the pieces and liquid nails to seal the cracks on the inside and outside.
