the drawing is to scale, but the angles are not exact. why wouldnt the subs fit....they have like 6 inches of either side to the edge. the front looks more angled than it really is cuz the pictures angle. and from what testing ive seen done (with the term lab) firing subs in cabin with the ports onthe driver side yield the highest results meca style.

i was talking about the depth of the subs hitting the sides of the box...that box won't do good in spl almost gurantee it with the subs angled like that...too much cancellation their better on a flat surface
but what do i know

where in my last post did i ask for a smart response..."but what do i know?"
the depth of the subs is of no concern as i said. the edge of the ring is like 6 or more inches away, not to mention the basket comes in from the outter mounting area. the rings as i said as well are not the exact angle they will be either. u can say that it will not be good for an spl application, but it really has no effect on why im building this box, as its for a daily setup and not for spl. its just a daily setup. it may have slight cancellation but im sure the box will do just fine for my needs.
i may not build it, and i may. im about to pick up a 1973 "glass house" impala to build.

ok let me get this straight, you ask for opinion, and when someone who knows what they are talking about suggest your box will function otherwise you cop an attitude??? WTF?
I tell you what, why dont you take that attitude to Sound Domain, you'll fit in there.

the opinion didnt bother me as i know that it may cause some. the fact that he said all that and then at the end said "but what do i know" was retarded. it wasnt needed. just say your opinion and move on.

i was referring to the world records i've had and the finals i've won and competed in....i know a lil bit about what i'm doing dude
I said my opinion and tried to offer help then you got pissy
and i keep thinking everyone uses spl subs...decent subs might still fit without a problem but i havn't used a sub with less than 8'' depth ina while
and if spl wasn't a concern then what was this?

i never said he wasnt a knowledgable person, or anything to that effect. i was just saying why say such a smart thing. why not say "in my tsting and results and things from my titles and all, ive never seen a setup such as this one yield very good results" not "but what do i know"
im not going pure spl, but want some. i like how the box looks, and the ports will help gain a little output, not amazing amount.s
