I cut mine right on the ground with a circular saw and some 2x4s under the mdf. I use a 5ft t-square to draw out the lines. If you are using screws it doesnt have to be that perfect. What happens when you nick the angle iron?

for me i just use some like milk crates on the ground. [Wink] works great and the table stacks in a corner [Wink]

my dad bought TONS of like flower crates a few years ago and ive been using them since [Big Grin]
ive choped thru a few of them from time to time.LOL

as for straight cuts just try my best to cut the line straight. [Frown] tho a simple 2x4 and some clamps then just run the saw down against it for a true straight line if it realy matters to ya.

BTW it is a bitch to get accurate. I strive for accuracy to be within 1/16" but that is hard sometimes.

that's the beauty of tempe's working at home dump....you get them to cut the sheet wrong...refuse to purchase that sheet 'cus they screwed it up...next thing you know, the have to mark it down and sell it in the scrap pile.

instant half sheet of wood for $2

^^^ 'cept at my local HD they have a sign that says "sorry, no precision cuts"...ive had HD cut some of my stuff in the past and as much as i love the panel saw and the person operating it.......they always seem to mess it up. I guess its give and take.......convienience>quality sometimes, but then you get to spend half the day "fixing" a situation where the wood wasnt cut right. Give me the damn secret code and let me do it myself i bet i dont screw it up! (i guess theres a reason those guys are working at HD and not out on the jobsite anymore/ever) [Razz]

Guys make a Sawboard just follow the directions on the site. It's simple and cheap to make and it will last a long time, I have had mine for about 9 years now.
