I didnt see any flexing of the box when he let it rip for me, lets just say I got a pretty good demo of it and it doesnt flex at all. that box is heavy as hell if it flexes at all I would be very surpized.

^^^what he said....and ya you use enough fiberglass than it doesnt matter what the template was made of. Heck as far as im concerned the particle board is more pouras *sp and probably soaked the resin up like a sponge.

I used so much resin and so much knytex fiberglass mat that this thing doesnt need bracing.

LTB: as i explained somewhere deep in this thread...i did most of this freestyle and although i was THINKING fiberglass and plexi i wasnt sure where the plexi was going to be. I knew in my mind where i wanted the amps. The window isnt the focus of it, its just a lil bonus.

RHINO, Dynasty, Jason, Pimpin, Malina: Thanks mange(s)!

Sac aka Dave: you know it G! [Razz]

97Cavy: Thanks, Lemme' know if you do decide to come down!

looks like you got the good stuff [Wink]

i do chop side down too but in a situation where its pure structure (like reinforcing the inside of a box) then it really shouldnt matter.

thanks
this look alright?
what do ya think....
is this look alright?
i didnt think i would use that much resin... might have to go back for another gallon. [Frown] autozone was the only place that had it around here in gallon size. for 30bucks.
 -

or do the white looking strings not saturated enough? i tried to rubb it in but it just wasnt worken any beter...
i figure i might just use the small matt over it... i have no clue... my first time glassing [Frown] i hope it turns out good and strong! then ill work my frame around and trim it and mold in some MDf to attach it to...

and boy this stuff does soak up the resin.... i thought it was gonna go alot further.LOL thats half a gallon right thier....
