well after i was driving down 95 in maryland and hit something in the road and blew my air bags and ripped off my tranny pan..... i decided to not replace the air bags...(they hurt!!)


so i moved back home due to my job ending and had this weekend to do a few things.

now i am NOT steve or norass but this is just a rough start for whats to come if i stay out of spl!

enjoy ....
headunit - alpine iva-d300
navi - alpine
3 7" screens 2 in headrest and one in streering wheel(needs to be wired yet)

Of course we all know that none of those screens in veiw of the driver will work unless you have the e-brake engaged right? [Wink] [Big Grin]

i think its a bad idea to post a map of where you live and showing all the money invested in your vehicle.

Looks good. I know that here in Columbus a shop got in trouble for putting monitors in steering wheels were the airbags used to be. Would there be any way to make a small panel or cover of some sort incase you got pulled over or anything?

well im not sure that its all that legal, but dam did that air bag hurt!!

so i will be buying an airbag that i can put in if needed for "the law"...lol

ya no doubt.... you had to have hit something preaty big and it had to jump up and hit the bag sensor for sure!
that sucks....
but so far looken preaty good.

only thing that stoped me with doing it in my truck is the turning/wires......
how you gonna wire it? or only have it pluged in for shows? J/W

well im not sure what i hit.... was late and very dark.

i do know that whatever it was split my tranny pan in half.

scared..... hell ya i thoguht the car blew up...lol i have never had an air bag go off let alone 2!!

well after getting the screen in i found out its DOA and needs to be replaced....

but im not sure about the wiring at all!! and im not sure if it will fly if i compete this season.

rear view mirror? i would recommend running the wires threw the center of the stearing colum, probably the same way the other wires are running, like the horn and the air bag wires where. also you will probably need to leave some slack for when your turn the wheel
