This forum got me started in car audio. I first started off with the ridiculoud idea of having six JL audio 10w7s in my truck. Things didn't pan out, so I settled for what you see below.

My old setup. Three 12w7s, three Rockford Fosgate Power bd 1000a1s (and a few other things).

It sounded great, but I still wanted more. It didn't have the visual pizzazz that I wanted, and the sound was incomplete. After 18 months of saving up and researching, here is the new setup.

I'm running DD 3512's. This is the closest picture I could get of them from Digital Design's website

 -

I have the same sub, but mine has a carbon fiber dustcap and a triple magnet slug instead of the double slug (pictured).

I knew that toolbox looked really long. I like the punched metal and then the ?stainless steel? inserts around that. Very clean.

Door panels look great.

Thanks to Dominic Iraggi for providing a AWESOME alternator for this truck. I wouldn't be able to power up any of this stuff to the fullest without it.

So what do you think?

What kind/type of crossover are you using for the DD midbass and Vifa tweets?

VERY NICE!!!!!!

i thought about using my tool box as my box setup but my tool box was way to high and i hated it! plus i want a smooth cover on my truck so that wouldnt work anyways. [Wink]

i have thought about the idea of doing a blow thru but only downfall is i dont wanna chop into my truck right thier [Frown] if i chop thru i want it choped thru the floor.

i think what im gonna do is the 18XXX sealed first and then chop into the floor and extend the box under the truck and below the bed so i can still use a bucket seat for another seat in my truck. ive thought about it over and over and well i gotta have at least one more bucket seat!!!!!! i just gotta go and do some junk yard diggen for the right fit!

Very clean looking my friend. I'd say your 18 months of waiting/learning/saving were well spent.

Just the 3-way crossover built into the Alpine. It does its job very well. Still playing with the settings to get the ultimate sound, but I like it alot right now. [Big Grin]
