I remember when... I first got into all of this car radio stuff every shop you went to had a demo car.
It was usually something over the top to show off the shop installers skills.
What happened to shops building them to impress customers? It wasn't always spl heavy some were built for SQ and the cars usually sold some products for the shops.

I remember when... Every car that was at a show was pretty good looking. No one would go to a show with a wood look box and a fire hazard for wiring.

I Remember when florida didnt have 4 shows every weekend and turnouts for single point events had turnouts of 40+ competitors and everyone looked forward to when the next multipoint event would be scheduled.

When I would, while living in Cali, drive about a thousand miles round trip, a weekend, just to do 3 shows.
When I was really excited to hit the next show, the very next weekend, to see if the work I did on my vehicle actually made it louder.
My take on the low turn out at shows, at least my reason, is because my wife bought me a termlab. Now, I actually wonder if she bought the meter for me or her. Considering I do less shows now. I have to say, not owning my own termlab, made my actual want to head out to shows. Now it is the opposite.........

I remember when... When small sealed boxes were the trend in spl, the more woofers the better and the only guys running a ported box were the Cerwin-Vega/Linear Power guys.

Only 2 people listed in the results, but there was an EASY 50 cars there, for a 1x. Lot was packed, spilled over into other lots. Was the show that got me "hooked"
