Long story short I ended up getting bent over by Atomic and will now have to fight to get my money back. Lets say they have REALY bad qualty control and careless shipping dept. Thats not the point though.

My current subs won't be up to being used at finals the way they are with what I am planning. I also have no back up if they blow, now not even a recone.

What subs are out there that can take 10Kish per sub for burps and work well in 10+ cubes each for 15's. I am about broke at this point and and running out of time. Subs need to offer D1 coils or there abouts. Right now on my APX I'm running 3 EXTRA Stiff spiders.

Links or info on NEW subs may help. The only subs I know of new in my buget(once I get my money back) are the Audio Q Hdc3 but the power rateing is low...low enough I don't think they would have a chance.

Even any used subs that some of you may have that would meet my needs would be helpful at this point.

Any companys out there have some scratch and dent deals ? Maybe some some B-stock ?

At this point I'm bumming. Right now all I can think of is get like 6 of the same subs(some cheap 1's) and just trash every couple of burps.

My fist year for finals is not looking good. If I hadn't allready had so much money out of pocket for this I wouldn't even go.

i would think that the cones on the aq would fold at 10k each sence they are close to a dd 9500 coils will hold without a problem on burps

IS they any thing that can be done to make the cones stronger ?

It seems fitting that something like this would happen to me.....as it seems it does every time. When every thing I had gotten in the last 6 months was right I should have seen this coming. So now I got a $900 set of book ends that I can't trust to do the job.

resin and maybe a strip of fiberglass on the sub farthest from the corner might help. and you run a low enough frequency that a sub with a moderate resonance might do ok with the added mass.
Have you checked with Bob at American Bass...the subs are virtually the same as atomic, so maybe parts are available.

Who do you think Bob gets parts from [Eek!]

I ran the American bass last year and the Extremes only come in D4 and the Comps are custom built and take weeks to get.

Has any one every tested the T3 Tsns head to head VS the Atomic Apx. Me and Travis have the same coils so if 1 is louder it's not a power issue.

Traivs think you subs will handle 75ish burps with 2K each so I can retune the box to mach them ?

Would you feel confident in putting 10K to each sub after that at finals ?

I ask you cause there your subs. I have talked with others but they don't own them.

Are there any other suggestions. I'm not saying that the T3 may not work good but I know that the subs are out of my buget if I did like them.

The T3 is far superior to the atomic I have tested both and the T3 is way louder.
