I remember living in Santa Barbara County, CA, back in 2000 - 2003 competiting at like 3 shows a weekend. Palmdale, Lancaster, LA, Long beach, Anaheim, San Diego and countless others..... Man those were the days.

How many of you buy from the shops you expect to host shows? These guys are hanging on by a thread, and they need to spend there money to find customers who will purchase from their shops! sad truth guys!

hmmm that's not how it works?? if a shop is looking for comp guys to buy gear from them, then there doing the wrong thing? most of the shops i have seen don't have the gear i would need, and most systems are very solid and don't fail at a show. the shops goal should be find the new customer that the show attracts get them off the side lines and into the game! but yet again many shops would not have a clue on how to build a comp level system i have purchased a sub 12" at a show before because i blow one up, i have purchased wire fuses etc but thats once in a blue Moon so shops should go after the fence sitter, reg comp folks already have gear contacts.
