So look at this predicament... If you are no longer allowed to use batteries "not specified or labeled" for car audio anymore does this mean the same ruling should be applied to eliminate welding cable in place of car audio 0 gauge wiring?
I am sure this question followed by the answer will get things going more crazy very quickly. lol But the principal is exactly the same as with the batts. The wire isnt labeled car audio and isnt intended to be used for...But people found a cheaper alternative to the absurd cost of multiple runs of car audio wire so as they could afford to compete at a higher level and be successful.

and hx400 is an example that u can also buy this battery labeled for automotive use. Batts are the same excepts label and price. Here in germany that battery labled for automotive use costs between 400 and 500 euros (thats about 700 dollars i think)
Yes. HX 400 = Powercell PC 4000
HX 300 = Powercell PC 3000

HX 400 +-200 dolar, Powercell PC 4000 +- 800 dolar

Street A no alt in play. Also my alt is 130amps, Also the amp is only used for burps only and my voltage is not dropping past 12v right now anyways.

I paid 189.00 for the diehard and the location I got it from has seen what I am doing and was the one to help me fit in a few different batts to get the most out of my space and reversed power connectors required for my car.

this is super silly Wayne. what's the diff between the automotive type battery and telecom battery? the terminals and the label? so silly.

how many times will people have to buy batteries? you do realize if this is enforced the battery bill for some people has already doubled and the season has barelly started.

Good point bro. Now probably half ot the competitors in dbdrag have to go out and by new batteries. As if it wasn't bad enough that those who bought multicells had to go out and by an nsb90. [Evil]

i am willing to bet all my cactus multi cell batteries that we will NEVER, EVER get a clear rule or any clarification on this......until the US finals ofcourse. then all hell will break loose.

if the factory sticker on the battery says or indicates that it is for automotive and/or stereo use who's gonna argue with that? However, i can see US street class judges makin a HUUUUUUUUGE mess out of it at finals.

im going to take a black marker and write TELECOM in big letters on my hawker battery just to see what's gonna happen at finals.

hahahahahaha but thats exactly what will happen. some rules are only enforced and finalized at finals. I have a very strong feeling this will be the one for 2008.

this doesnt really effect me, i have a hawker with a sticker that says automotive.

the way i see it is its a normal 6 cell batt, doesnt matter what its purpose is.

Whats going to Happen when people start "RELABLING" the NSB and the Data Safe, or others? I work at a shop what if we release the (insert own name here) *** 90? For automotive use with a printed certificate with the CCA ratings and CA ratings? Whos going to stop this, this is stupid....its a 6 cell Battery. Who cares if it Telecom or Automotive? The only difference is the price.

I used welding cable. Didn't gain anything over car audio cable except it looks prettier and my wallet is lighter so now I walk straight instead of walking in circles. [Razz]
