OK Mcgyver. Ive never been able to make a bomb out of a batcap, a piece of cardboard, and a towel, then again, I've never tried. The cardboard is so the case doesnt get all F'd up rubbing against the radiator support. If youve ever installed a battery or for that matter a batcap in a crx then you should know that at some point, you gonna need a towel either to stop the bleeding or keep the sweat out of your eyes. By all means, if you have some sweet pics of your battery install, Mr. Price, I'm always looking for a better way to do things. By the by, the hold down was removed for the pics. The battery was installed in the car as you see it and did not move at all on the trip to or from indy finals.

Carlton's pics are on the first page of this post. Not sure if you missed those pics or not.
You could just do like I did and not use a towel but some clothing from a homeless person. Dead kittens are good for the creativity points, but I have that on lock. So you need to step your game up and be a tad more crafty.

you oviously can't read. as Alan stated, my pics are on the first page. I believe I know a thing or two about big batteries in a CRX.

your battery installs are always top notch. Best ones I've ever seen.
Thanks! However you know there's Always room for improvement! As you can see there was a lot of time spent designing and the fabrication of battery terminals and buss bars. Special thanks go out to Jack Thomas (Master Fabricator) and the competitors all over the country for all their input!
Note; To get this battery to stand straight up there were some minor modifications made. 1.Removed & relocated cooling fan. 2.Removed & installed custom battery tray. (Stock tray will work if lowered) 3.Removed High Beam head lamp bulb. ( Not necessary if you have euro headlights) 4.A small hammer and some minor trimming of the headlamp basket and core support!
The trimming of the core support and headlamp basket was done for Safety to help prevent the puncture of the battery & spillage of acid and also to help prevent all of our worst fears - Fire!

again, if you were to look, you would see the wire colors are backwards from the battery. The wire was from a previous battery install.

You don't need to cut to get a group 31 size battery in but it does make it easier to get the battery in.

I tried cutting the battery first, to get it to fit, but it just leaked acid everywhere and ate up the cardboard. So I decided to just cut the headlight instead.

Tell me this didn't come as a surprise.
I mean, at what point do you sit there and think to yourself "Hmm, should I cut the battery (which is chock full of toxic hell) or should I cut the tin-can metal holding the headlight in?"
Honestly, I would have loved to just sit back and watch something like this go down.

I can't believe you think I was serious about cutting a battery to make it fit. I mean seriously, I said that with purely dry sarcastic humor.
