well, i know I don't plan to buy another battery after spending 200-300 bucks on a battery if I can't compete with that battery that I bought specifically for this sport. so anyway, whats the answer?

hey i only planed to attend two comps it took me a years to find $200 for a battery my sub is $250 15" apx and $400 for each amp DD M1. i was going to put in more 0 gauge this year.
I have three kids and my wife has cancer this is what i do when i can to stay sane not to win. so yeah 200-300 takes me out for the year.
that link does not have a offical ruling i was going to go to carisle since i use to do slap there but db drag had to mess that up.( slap was so much more fun)

DB Drag didnt mess anything up, SLAP went under by itself. Would you rather have no shows at all? SLAP was cool, but come on...18v in street? Tell me thats not worse than having to change out a $200 battery

i too can feel his pain, i too dont have so much cash lying around to drop 300 bucks on another battery when i just dropped 200 on a battery in august. But if the rules make my battery illegal theres only 2 choices for me, retire or beg borrow and steal for a new battery.

SLAP was only fun because the competition was weak.

Slap is still around, kinda, but they aren't serious. It's still nice to go out to a Slapshow and test your system for the next Db Drags show. I was thinking of doing their pro stock class this season, not really fair to the other guys in Stock when I'm 5+ db's higher than them.

i didn't make slap last year due to the birth of my third kid or i would have put prostock close to 150
i like the people who run it and attend it scores went from 132-159 dbs . the first year I did slap i was 144.4-147.4 with 1 15" ap spl and a 1500 watts amp. $800 in equipment for having fun

But if your family can't afford an extra 200 dollars, maybe you shouldn't do this hobby in the first place?
I realize you have fun, but why not do a small 400 dollar combo setup with stock battery and do 129.9 bass race. Still around car audio but not having to do without for car audio.

i hate bass race and there is no stock battery that will hold up just ask all the alternators i have fried also I build a loud street setup because I am a basshead. and do the only local show left. I can buy a battery every couple years but not every 6 months my system expanded every year a little but if they change the rules it can set me back 1-2 years from competing they do that every year and i never come then quite trying
anyways i never got a answers. i just want to know if they bahned them so i don't go and get bumped up.

Well this sucks if NSB is not allowed in Street. We have just bought 2 for our setup with hard earned money and now they are telling that you can't use them. It would have been nice to know this a little bit earlier. With that money we would have bought another batteries instead. As student it's not so easy to get money to buy new ones because now nobody will buy our batteries anymore

if you have two batteries, you are in streetC anyways, and can have up to 800ci batteries. Which NSB did you get? the NSB90 and G3100 are both legal. The NSB125 is not. It's only StreetA where you are limited to 650ci

its starting to break me for the last few years ive had to get bats every year. and with the new changes i have to go out and buy new bats and even go get new amps cause the ones i have will not come close to the one that will win finals. so yeah i have alot of amps and batterys i cant even use but in diffent org. like usac and meca. but to run dbdrag i have to go buy a whole new set up. it really sucks. but im going to do it.
