I just got the most hillarious phone call just now. It was in Donald Ducks voice saying to check Steve Cooks stats page.Dont know if thats a hint or clue but i laughed my arse off.

shawn I got that message twice and I even have it recorded. I answered the phone the first time cause it showed up Steve Benton.....I was WAY up in the air and dayum near fell laughing...

I got that second call also. I found it funny though, cause even if I bowed down, I'd still be taller than the bangkok midget.

my ringer was off and i was sleeping, so i didnt actually get the call, coice mail did.
but it was a local number, and when i called it back they were a toy and video game distributor in the area.
they had no clue who would have called me from there, and neither do i, so i suppose i'll have to point that also to the mystery dialer.

why cause when i called wayne about his website, he told me he thinks that the phone company got hacked and that was the route of the hack on his website, 2 days later i got a phone call saying the same message on his website .... ?????

With regards to the Term-PRO "hack", that is not what it appears. I left the "News" folder on my FTP server open for the World Finals so that we could upload newsworthy information if time permitted. Someone (probably an automated "bot") found this opening and modified the news contents (including the "Hot News" include files.) I guess you could theoretically call it a hack in a very, very limited sense.
As for the calls, right now there is nothing that can be done. It is not currently illegal (but I expect that to change soon). From the messages that people are receiving, it must be someone here that is doing the calling.
One thing that should not change is the NAME on the caller ID. From what I have read, only the phone number is "spoofed".

I just got an automated call from the dB Drag office from Wayne Harris saying that the dBDRA is not responsible for the Automated phone calls everyone has been getting that that Wayne is aware of the problem that people have been discusing on the forum. Then something about long live the underground? WTF

There was another website posted that changed both the number and the caller ID (to the number that it was changed to) thats how everyone's name is coming up.

Yep...got 3 calls today. Getting a little OLD. When I am on a conference call on my cell phone with my customers discussing business and these things come in; It is costing me money. Enough is Enough.
