we all KNEW that trinlect was going to win the national event and the regional event.

the posts we had going never once asked who was going to win ..


we were bs'ing with each other over which AMERICAN would be the first to do a 160, and IF any of us would.

the other post was only about who would win between me and carnes, and that was an issue raised by us because we are friends and were trash talking each other.

we did not include trinlect in any of those conversations because....

a. he has a panda, and help from an experienced, 3 time world champ with a panda in this class. its no surprise he won, nor was it a surpise that he did win.

b. we didnt know fred until this weekend, so we werent going to trash talk him. all of our trash talk about carnes, myself, and rohrbach is because we're all friends and on the phone with each other daily. we didnt know what kind of sense of humor or personality fred had, and we didnt want to offend him with our rand of humor.

c. he's a canadian (well, a trinidadian (is that a word) living in canada) so that disqualifies him from any conversations regarding americans. and as mentioned before, the discussions were about which AMERICANS, with NORMAL cars would do a 160 who and when, and if for that matter. never did we have a discussion about whether or not a canadian with a panda would win or not or do a 60 or not.

as a matter of fact, all of us in the class here in indy, had been talking for weeks about whether fred would do a 60 , 61, 0r 62 but we knew he was gonna do a 60 or better.


we're happy for him. he's the national champ. he deserves it. that car, and equipment wasnt cheap.

statements like "you should get a panda, pandas are easy to get loud, we only spent a week on the box and did a 160 automatically" dont really gain a lot of respect in my eyes, but whatever, he did his thing and he won. i'm happy for him.


as for the americans challenge.... 2nd place went to carnes, which makes them the loudest americans again, seeings how last year they also came in second to a panda and made them the loudest americans.


so, asfar as your statement about everyone thinking an american would win.. you are sadly mistaken, we knew an american wouldnt win. big shock.

besides, its been said before.... americans dont work hard enough and we dont want it enough.

kyle qualified with dd subs.
(and did an amazing number btw)
pioneer said it was a pioneer truck and must have pioneer subs.
since he had already qualified, if he changed subs, he would be dq'd
pioneer said that truck does not go through the lanes again with pioneer subs.
so, he didnt go through the lanes again.

basically he had a choice... dq by pioneer or dq by judges.
