How about instead of a top 100 break it down as top 10 extreme, top 10 superstreet and top 10 street?

I think the list (damn it goes on forever now) should only include those who have revolutionized the industry, hence my suggestion for dB Warrior.
Mikko completely changed the face of the extreme cars with his interior/ enclosure design. How many others have caused such a dramatic change to the industry?
Lets see,
Whoever started the driver's side port in SS.
Larry Benton for the 'cave' enclosure.
The original CRX box designer (Sweet Sounds or Metro?) Terry Brocks/ Alfaro's for the 'newer' CRX design that everyone and thier dog has.
Demuth for his mini truck NW design.
Basically, the list should be trimmed to folks who actually have made a huge impact on the industry.

i agree mikko's design did change the face of extreme classes.you also need to remember that its just extreme class.the driverside port design changed the face of both ss and ex class in the early 2000's.i guess we should have listen to wayne years ago cuz he said himself that bandpass design would be crazy loud.that was in the 90's.lol

There is a big difference between saying it and application.
A bandpass will also get loud in Street. Anyone remember Tapani Haapamaki?

...But i think Alma Gates should be the undisputed "SPL Competitor of all Time" because she has done more than anyone else ever has or ever will for the sport. [/QB]

I think that Jason Paulus should be added to the list. He competed in Street, SS and EXT and placed at Finals in each class. He has been involved with many World Champion vehicles and has always been there for anyone that needed a hand.

I would also like to add Mike Stiers to the list. Who else before him could even consider getting a trunk car so damn loud?
As I stated before, pioneers of the sport should only be added.

Thanks Mike, But I should not even be on that list, Heck I would not evan top 10 in the state of ohio.. in no real order
jamie delepaz Doug Truxell derrick williams jim sakely Sam Horn John and Kara Baldman Josh Robinson eric alexander 10 is to be determined..
most of the current competitors here in ohio would be hard press to know half of them..
if you all want to this list to be a bit more serious. You need to set Stats to be judged by. World finals apearances/ placements, season competed, etc.
instead of what this is turniing into, I know Joe from down the street, he really loud. he should be number 2 right behing alma.

If your going to claim that then what about Kyle Witherspoon if i remember right he was the first to use that design. and the first to break 170, 171, 172, and 173 with 2 subs. and they did not win the Ext. 1-2 in 2000 kyle did!

I believe it was early 99, Rog would remember, because I was teh newb at that time. I know roger was fustrated with 8v and 6v battery problems. So, he said lets just do 16v and see if the crossfires can handle it, few did, few didn't, r22 mod became the norm with them. crossfire amps had half the championships, etc.
But, you are correct, in the driver's side port. I remember in early 00 when kyle had the port on the top of the box and greg had the driver's side port in the rabbit. Kyle changed to Roger's/Chad's design later on and did the nutty elusive 170 at finals. I think that was when DD really came into its own, atleast how I remember it. I credit this EX1-2 170 with the beginning of the end for the monster extreme classes(ex 13+ power classes that had full brackets).

Heres my top 5, I can't think of any others that have done as much for the sport...no disrespect to anyone
Steve Cook - Who else has been around as long and accomplished as much? he's always been close to the top at each world finals he goes to.
Danny Britain/All of team budweiser - They work on tons of vehicles, even if they are in the same class as themselves. They have probobly built more loud vehicles as a group then any other "team"
Mikko/Marko and the other SPL Dynamics SPL team - They made extreme where its at today, no one else (in my opinion) would have ever figured that out and made the 180 obtainable.
Alma Gates - The demo vehicles she had built recieved more exposure than any one else in dbdrag. Everyone remembers the red bronco, I believe she has been a PERFECT representation of the sport.
Fakuda - For showing that a vehicle can be loud and still sound good.
