Has it ever been decided what the total height is in a caravan? I just built a box total height is 24" and it seems when I look at it I still have at least 2-3 inches on a string test. Any info is appreciated.

24 inch should be ok. Does it look to high in the back or in the front? The caravan slopes down in the front.

I can see the slope and the highest point is the back of the box. Also can we remove the carpeting and panels in NW?

Dean I didnt say I was using this all year. Remember I still have a street car and another ss car sitting here. Each show may be different.

Your height will depend 100% on your ability to use a hammer. Bone stock no hammer= 24.5. You'll be way under in front but the back is what you have to worry about.

26 in of height under the window??? This would be illegal in my book. Then again maybe newer vans have more height.

All panels must be stock from the window line up. You can cut or remove below that.

It also depends if you have the seat latches in. that is worth 1/4 inch or so.

The little hump for the sliding door...Can't smash that too much or the slider will mess up. You can gain a lil room here by building around it. Leave a layer of box off around this hump.

And as far a SS in No Wall.....There isn't anymore than 1 van for 100% in the class at this time.

Dean prolly didn't get the memo since he's out of the loop.

When you're done messing with that van and getting nowhere with it I have a LOUD one I could sell you. It is also a Turbo.

Well, truth be told Roland has decided to retire from competing in dB Drag Racing on a national/worldwide level but has decided to compete in bass race locally every now and then with his Expedition where he belives he will have more fun.

Officially, I did pick up the caravan from Roland but only time and other circumstances (money, sponsor support, etc) will tell whether or not I will run the caravan or even the rabbit for that matter.

I just want to continue to have fun in this sport and I have the support of many, even from competitors which are in the same class but as you can clearly tell there are others who chose to automatically think all of my or the people I am associated with's efforts and focus and main intention has to do with cheating to win. But I guess no matter where you go or whatever you do there is always someone out there whose sole purpose is to be negative and bring people down with them.

So I guess long story short and to reiterate, I am not certain if I will run the caravan or even build it or to continue competing. Only time will tell.

I wish you all the luck and hope you have fun competing and hope you don't let other people's negativity stop you from doing what you want to do.

so if 26" isnt legal as you make it seem is jeffreys not legal then? since his seem mighty close to 26"..

just asking for your opinion on what you think of his box cause if you compete and you let your opinion out and jeffrey competes i think people will protest that so its better for him to know now then later...

26 is too tall. It is not up for discusion. 26 is illegal. I PM'ed Jeffrey The first time I saw his post in the rules section with my recomendations. After all we are team mates. I told him to cut it down to 24 to be safe.

The reason I want to see the other 26 inch tall box is because I don't think it's 26. I think someone likes to stir the $hit. No judge is going to rule a 26 in tall box legal. I think someone is trying to split the brotherly love we all share in NW....LOL

My box is around 1/8 inch under if not alittle less. And I can tell you that even 25 3/4 in the front is too tall. The judges examined mine VERY close. And I believe I am 25 3/8 in the FRONT. Less than 24 in the back.
