When recieving a competitor rate on equipment from a sponsor, usually there is a contract that is signed by the competitor. One stipilation is usually that you must not sell the equipement (that a competitor gets at a discounted rate) for one year. My question is, If I violate the "contract", what recourse can be taken by the company?

Ive heard everything ranging from charging your card the full amount (MSRP) for the equipment to absolutly nothing. All depends on who ya are and what company i guess

If you have a contract with a company, it is probably spelled out in the contract with exactly what will happen. For example, most companies put in the contract that if you sell it, you have to pay them the difference between what you paid and msrp. They could take you to court over the amount, or if you paid by credit card, they could just charge it to your card.

I would talk it over with the company. Let them know exactly what you need and what you are trying to do. If they sponsered you in the first place, I'm sure they would be willing to help you get to where you need to be. Especially if you are sticking with their product.
