LETS JUST PUT IT THAT WAY. IT WAS WORTH MY WHILE TO TRY AND STAND UP PUNCH HIM."
He later tried to recant.
Seth Petruzelli: "What was meant to be said was that I wanted to keep the fight standing for myself because I knew that was what the crowd, the promoters, and everyone wanted to see because that's more exciting than just taking someone to the ground," Petruzelli said. "That was my thing only. I wanted to keep it exciting so I decided to keep it standing. It had nothing to do with anybody else. That was all me."
Now that is fvcking sad.

Did anyone actually watch the match? Kimbo chased him against the edge of the ring lost his balance and was hit while falling. Of course he lost, but i dont see anything to draw conclusions from. It was not even a fight. I thought i was gonna see an actuall knockout from what i read on here.

Thanks, that was a better vid angle than the one I originally saw. I keep forgeting that this is different than boxing. I still think kimbo beat himself in this one. Cant take anything away from the other guy though, he did what he needed to get the win.

well seeing his eye was bloody and the shot that is in question actually sent hiim limp he must have hit him square enough to do the job. I know guys who can get hit extremely hard on the side of the jaw and keep going but you hit them in the front of the jaw and they drop like a brick, point is the jaw compresses against the nerve and temporarily sends you limp. Maybe something similar in this case everyone has there spot not all bodies are the same just my .02
