You know we always pass judgement on people. You dont know the man personally, he is living a good life and none of us could probably beat him in a fight. And most likely, he made more money last night getting his azz whooped then most of us will see in a year! I am not a fan of Kimbo, but a realist. So if you can get in the ring and do better, do it. HE does seem to be a "humble" man from his interviews and such.
I don't blame the man at all for trying to make a buck. I would have as well.
This was a bad matchup for Kimbo as they actually gave him an experienced fighter (We all know Tank is way passed his prime)

I dont think what happened was a lack a preparation.....
I think it was more circumstance.....
If they have a rematch that kid might get his ass stomped.
Kimbo might be overhyped and over promoted but the man is a beast and a hell of a guy. I hope he sticks around and trains well enough to come out and put atleast a couple of big names on their ass....... if he can. And if he can't........ oh well he's still a true badass too me.

Wow, that's a harsh article. Sounds like Kimbo tried to play it down after the match. The author took a hellishly hard line against EliteXC and all the hype for Kimbo.
Or, see if TNA or WWE is hiring. The dude's got some decent size: 6'2" @ 235. Probably still a tougher brawler than most people, but he'll have a Hell of a Monkey on his back, in that 14 second TKO.
Hardcore fans (and fighters) were proven right. Some talent + a butt-load of hype won't get you career with a high win percentage.

In the scramble to find a suitable replacement that Slice couldn’t possibly lose to, EliteXC considered Shamrock’s brother, Frank, who was there to be CBS’s color commentator, hadn’t fought lately due to a broken arm and would have given up around 45 pounds. Despite all this, Frank likely would have submitted Kimbo in the first round.
When that matchup couldn’t happen (EliteXC said state officials wouldn’t clear him, Frank said they did but CBS blocked it), EliteXC promoters turned to Petruzelli. The Fort Myers, Fla., native had been dumped by the big-league UFC, was just 2-2 since 2004, had recently taken a year off to start a business, weighed just 205 (to Kimbo’s 235) and was so lightly regarded he was competing in the non-televised undercard.
