I've run Linux before (RH 7.x - 8.x + FC 3 & 5; Mandrake 9.x - 10.x + Ubuntu 5.x). However, it's been a while since I've had it on a production box and not just testing.
Is there a good site out there or reference books / manuals that y'all'd recommend?
I don't need RHSE user knowledge, but being able to get around & be productive on a Linux box again would be good. Will probably check out CompTIA's Linux+ materials to reaquaint myself with the OS.
Probably wouldn't hurt to get me some Unix 101 while I'm at it.
Idiot's Guide to Red Hat / FC? Fedora Core for Dummies? Not even sure if those exist. That's about all I can handle reading anymore (hard for me to read printed text - don't have the attention span for it + the words dance on the page for me a lot). Nothing like adult ADHD + Lysdexia.....*grumble*.
Might check out my local Community College. Anyone know if many colleges offer classes on Unix & Linux anymore? When I was in college & grad school, we had Unix terminals w/a cheat sheet, but no formal training. That was so long ago that the whole InterWeb thing hadn't even caught on yet.
