Bought the Lyra 4gig from a reccomendation from a friend. Looks great...doesnt work for s***!

I have been on my pc for 4 hours trying to get this damn software to recognize the damn player and I cant' do it!

I followed the instruction STEP BY STEP over and over again and no luck. The damn computer won't recognize the device and won't sync up with either Windows Media Player or the MusicMatch Jukebox.

I'm about to get seriously s***ing...this is the 2nd mp3 playe rin 2 days that has done this to me...2 different players and the same gd problem.

I'm steaming man!!!

Yeah I have considered that. It doesnt work on my bro's pc either. The Windows Media player WILL NOT recognize the player...always says that no device is hooked up and the player itself will not leave the "connectin" screen. I've tried different USB cables, different USB ports and still nada. Nothing but anger...it's like these freakin things have reawoken my bad temper.

I'm so pissed off it's unbelieveable man. I followed the instructions multiple times, step by step and still nothing. This s*** is really turning me off from these things.

And the PC has no problem finding my camera when it's plugged up via USB, or the floppy drive, when it's plugged up via USB...

Damn, figured it out.

My spyware protection was preventing Windows Media Player from installing completely. I turned the protector off, windows installed fully and updated completely, and THEN recognized the player.

"spyware protection was preventing Windows Media Player"
which program is that? Is doesn't sound like Microsoft Anti-spyware. Whatever you hav, its obsolete if its not the microsoft one. Delete that ish and go to the windows site to find it.

Spyware is by Webroot. Very up to date. I just have to disable it long enough to copy the files, then reactivate it.

I guess it's not much trouble, but still. At least the damn thing works, lol.
