1st question, I downloaded spydector on my laptop to get rid of spyware. When I do my scan, at the end I get another spyware named Winhound that installs itself on my laptop. Is their anyway of preventing this? I never install them or do not know how it keeps installing itself, even after I uninstall it from my system.
2nd how do I change the brightness on my laptop? Usually on a desktop, the controls are on the monitor, but on a laptop it is different. Anybody with a laptop know how to get to the features to change the brightness, color, and etc. I have a Toshiba M35X-S311 if that would help.
Thanks for any and all replies.

1> I would use Ad-Aware myself. Thats my only suggestion.
2> Brightness on a laptop can be controlled 2 ways (usually). Right click on the desktop, go to Properties, choose Settings, then Advanced, and look thru the options for a brightness control. I have 2 in there myself on my laptop. Also there is usually a key combination on your keyboard to pop a brightness control. On mine it is Fucntion F10.
The removal program is updated whenever a new file is found that is associated with this infection. When new updates are released, I will mention the update date in the topic description. You should remove the current SmitRem folder that you created, and redownload the SmitRem as per the instructions given in this topic.
What this program does:
WinHound is a anti-spyware program that is known to issue fake warnings on your computer in order to manipulate you into buying its full commercial version. If you are infected with this program you may receive warnings in your task bar that appear to be from Microsoft Security Center stating that you are infected with spyware and to run its special anti-spyware tool. This tool turns out to be the commercial version of WinHound. These warnings are fake and are a goad to have you buy the commercial version of this software.
