All of the morons in MD were freaking out. I went to Safewizzle on Friday around 7 PM just cuz I needed some stuff; I was not panicing and stocking up for the upcoming "disaster." Out of a possible 10 registers there were 6 open. I even was on AIM talking to 93 Cutty to help pass the time. There was a sea of morons stocking up so that they would not have to go out in the snow. I was in line well over a half-hour. At first I wasn't even sure where the end of the lines were. It was just a sea of people and shopping carts.
I am a cashier supervisor at HD. A whole mess of people were crying about how they have a half hour drive home and wanted to go home before the roads got bad. I am from Chicago, so I was totally unsympathetic. I'm like WTF it's just snow Drive slower and pay attention to what teh fawk you're doing. I ended up sending home early all but two people. We still ended up closing an hour early and opening two hours late today. Lucky I didn't have to work anywho.
Everyone was freaking out. "How are the roads?" I would respond saying that there was some snow on the roads. Not all that bad. I've certainly dealt with a lot worse in the past. I will say it was a bitch unburying both my Ranger and the gf's Taurus this morning
