i've been looking into this as well. i think the executioner(sp?) chip has a solderless version. they recommended it a while back when techtv was still around.

The BIOS itself has an OS called Xenium OS its easy to use but you just use it to put in dashboards like evox or avalaunch etc etc Xenium OS can also do some other things too like disable mod chip so you can boot back into MS Dash and play xbox live.

Yeah they are replacing it with the Xenium GOLD which is the smallest xbox modchip ever and it will be out soon. (I would wait for that)

My chip in my xbox is so old and is soldering required. I dont even remember the name, but it works flawlessly.
Yeah I didn't like the XBIT...My friend had it and I thought it was a POS. You don't have to solder old xbox's either all you do is desolder the filled in holes.
