I have a 1 year (depending on the person)that is free, but unpaid (to begin with). In the begenning major duties are sweeping floors & cleaning up, while gaining product knowledge, safety/tool useage, & watching installs. As the intern gets used to a shop environment they will be called on to start assisting in installs, basic fabrication, & customer service & sales. As the Intern becomes proficient they will be called on to make sales, installs & fabrication by them selves with minimal help from the Audio Expressions team. IF, & only IF the intern shows they they are ready, I personally will take them to CES & Pay for their MECP Basic Installer test. (Transportation & lodging also paid)
At that point the Intern can either stay & make 1/2 labor on all installs they do, or are free to leave with a letter of recommendation. I can help with job placement, but not guaranteed.
This in no way is a formal course, & instal knowledge is 100% dependent on what jobs come in through the door. Also, it is expected that the intern will have to work a seperate job, & we are more than willing to help work around that. As we no longer have to check the inters work, we will start paying for installs, or parts there of, up to a maximum of 1/2 the labor charged for the job.
Feel free to contact me here at the shop, or IM me. Thanks! _________________ Proud member Team Bio Old Beyond my years (209) 694-USPL? Ask for Tony
