I am currently looking for a position in any car audio shop in my area. Ive already been to 1 and he said that I should come back after the summer when the business gets better. Only problem is Im looking for a full time summer job. Any suggestions as to how i might be able to get a job at the next shop i stop at.....When i first talked to the manager he asked my experience ,which is little due to the fact that im only 15, and I told him alot of the complicated stuff I know, He seemed surprised and asked if I was in college and I laughed and said 9th grade. I just would like to know any things that may be able to get the job easier.

Btw i was polite, respectful, fairly well dressed and spoke well. peace

Whats up man,

I don't know alot about the field of being an installers but I know a little. A lot of the shops around here I know don't do much hiring. I was thinking about becoming an installer myself. I am guessing that the majority of the places won't need help or just won't hire you because you are 15. You might want show them a really good install you did or do one so you can show. Impressing them might be a good road. Another thing is that you might want to get certified, MECP, to show proof of your knowledge. That might be a problem too, because of your age.

I still want to wish you GOOD LUCK though.

i cant think of any shop in their right mind that would hire someone thats 15...I've never heard of a shop hiring someone under 18! Its for insurance reasons, because insurance policys wont cover damages done by people under 18 - When i was hired, 3 days before i turned 18, i couldnt touch a car until i turned. I built boxes though (cut my hand off?) [Smile]

You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the US of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the 3 most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dlck ', and 'Colon'.
