I have recently started a Stereo and performance shop in Utica, NY but have no idea how to get in contact with any wholesalers. I have all the necessary licences and paperwork and basically all I am lacking is contact information. If anyone has any information for some good wholesalers please pass it along. The best way would be to either leave a pm or email me at shaynice@aol.com.

Well I do have some but I was originally against using a wholesaler, I was going to go all factory direct. I have Stinger and have also spoken with Digital Designs, Visonik, and a few others. But now I see that the variety of products that a wholesaler can offer might be very beneficial to business.

distributors have more benifits than you could ever imagine, although you usually get the best price from going dealer direct, you must also usually meet quotas.... just like the different dealer packages you must meet with stinger (gold, siler, etc.) the best prices from dealer direct usually can only be had by spending alot.
distributors are an excellent source for your wiring harnesses, connects and anything else you may need only one piece of, also distributors usually have much lower free freight orders, one of our locals is 100 bucks and you get free freight.
if you wanna deal with pa then check out DAS near harrisburg (distributors of autosound, a company that grew rapidly over the last few years, soon to be carrying fishman audio products) and Jade Electronics near philly (alot of mid-level and entry level products but are always willing to play "lets make a deal" with their good accounts.
of course i dont think their is an established shop in the US that hasnt dealt at one time with The Wholesale House in Oh. they offer alot of entry level stuff and then usually have alot of left over stuff they gotten as buyouts from big manufacturers... usually last years stock that companys like PG or Infinity cant or dont wanna be bothered moving. oh and the best thing about WH is that once you isgn with them they sell your name to everyone under the sun, which means youll get literature from more wholesalers than youd care to see, but you still get the contacts and more often then not will find useful information.
hope this helps, if you need any other help just pm me here or email me at borrego76@aol.com, always willing to help someone whos just starting out.
