This notice just came into my e-mail box, I thought that some of you might be interested. If so, good luck [Smile] . Just like all of the other announcements, I don't get anything if you apply or are offered/accept the position. Just thought I'd try to help out where/when I can. Stanley is searching for a First-Tier Technical Support Analyst and a Systems Administrator to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in Washington, DC.

First-Tier Technical Support Analyst
Selected candidate will:

Assist users in identifying and correcting computer problems
Install and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
Refer new hardware and software requirements to the Help Desk Supervisor

Candidates must have:
  • Some college and/or specialized IT training
  • Knowledge of PC hardware architecture
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 9X/NT)
  • Knowledge of office automation software such as Microsoft Office 97/2000
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to lift and move computer equipment of approximately 40 lbs. in weight, as well as being able to push a wheeled dolly with multiple computer systems loaded
  • The ability to bend, kneel, or crawl to get to cables under and behind furniture
  • The ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required
Systems AdministratorSelected candidate will:
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network service problems
  • Analyze network utilization, performance monitoring, using network management tools
  • Upgrade sever hardware and software components as required
  • Monitor and administer the servers, keeping system information up-to-date in a network log
Candidates must have:
  • Some college and/or specialized IT training
  • Knowledge of common desktop/server computing hardware architectures, especially Intel-based
  • Knowledge of common client operating systems, especially Microsoft Windows 9X/NT/2000
  • Knowledge of common network operating systems such as Windows NT & Windows 2000
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 5.5 & 2000
  • Knowledge of RIM's BlackBerry hardware & software
  • Knowledge of network hardware devices
  • Knowledge of network management software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • The ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required
