From the UK we will be mostly driving thru France from Calais. If the main convoy goes our way, then we should meet up.
I have been advised that if we convoy, we should all get CB radios, Myself and Kenny will be getting 1 each, I wish we had them last year going to Sweden.

Jim used to blow rear tyres on his bimmer all the time, because his camber was wrong, like he ran on the inside edge all the time. Yours like this?

I wish it was that easy. They don't rub at all. There was no signs of any rubbing either. All the camber of the wheels has been checked and is ok. I think it's just due to the weight. Also I don't use the car that much, so it just sit's on the tyres. I do plan on putting the car up on axle stands when not in use. Will have to see if that helps.

Darren, this debate might OT but anyhow: can you be more specific about your tire problems. I might help you? But why and how and when do your tyres have problems ???

When I first installed the SS1-2 install I had some problems with the tyres rubbing on the arche's but that was sorted with an angle grinder. I have also uprated the springs and also fitted two sets of spring assisters. I have had no problems with rubbing since I made the mods. Even if I go over a big bump in the road there is no scrubbing. Then out of the blue when I was driving to a show the other week I had a blow out, on one of the rear tyres. Had to buy new tyre got that fitted. Then last week I was using the car to go to work in and I had a second blow out on the back. It was the one that I hadn't replaced. I have checked everything I can think of on the back suspension. I have checked all bushes etc. There was also no signs of tyre rub when it blew. So all I can think is that it is due to the weight of the car.
How fast do I drive? Well due to the weight I am unable to drive it as fast as I used to. But if I was honest I still drive it well to the speed limit. I never go over 100. Normaly stick to 60-70mph. As it gets a bit thirsty.
Thanks for all your help.

Check tyres and look for mark: ''Max Load'' It might happen that you are over the limit.
Another thing is to set correct air pressure.
Use piece of chalk and drav line over the tyre patern horizontaly. Drive for 100m and check for wear. If Chalk will wear on outside, than your pressure is too low for your load. If it will wear on inside than pressure is too low. Also check if it is only on one side, and then talk to person who is doing alignement. Alignement is usually done with suspension up, but you are probably on lowest position and factory settings are not issue.
Extremely low tyres can't take big loads! What size do you use?

Seriously, load rating goes down with speed, so if you do keep the speed down, it should help. I will be doing 65mph MAX to the Euros, so you should have no problems.

Dr.Loudness: The max load on the tyres are 500KG. The total weight of the vehicle is 1720KG. All tyre pressures have been checked by the garage that fitted the tyres. That was with the wheels fitted to the car, so they are aware of the weight. I will try the test you said about when I get my car back. As for wheel and tryes. They are 17's with 205/45/17 tyres I think. But they are low profiles. I was planning on doing some serious mods and fitting 19's, but not best with all the weight.
Firestarter: I know what you mean Geoff about speed but it's just so tempting with that much BHP to boot. When going to shows I normally do try to stay to 60-70mph. Unless Racing Ken

205/45 is wery low, and with 1700 Kg you are probably ower the limit or close to 500 kg.
Check also tyre temperature after driving. It should stay relatively normal, and heavy braking with 1700 kg can also raise temperature. Some tyres used to have temperature rating, and in your case look for A.
