That would mean an engine swap.
X2 on that. But the USA crx is also not comercial available for us. So how is it that they can be used also?
But when you meen why anybody can use a car in street classes that don't have license plates to drive on the road i totally agree. Everbody in europe uses license plates on the cars in street. The people that don't can do that should be not allowed. The class called street so it should be street legal.

so i dont see what the beef is i can see if the parts were not out by the cut off date but if they were who cares its all good.
X2 on that. When i buy a Volkswagen and they say i have to put Castrol oil in the car and need Bridgstone tires. Wo am i to buy differant brand tires or oil. I can put other weels on the car. What is the problem.
In the rally Dakar they uses trucks from Ginaf with iveco cabins on it and engines from Catepillar and so on.
The team buy that stuff on his own and make with the commercial available products a competiting vehicle.
GZ and Cactus buy's the conus from there supplier. Maybe it is the same supplier? Maybe DD and GZ and Cactus have the dsame supplier?
The amplifiers everbody uses are also from the same suppliers. Who tell me that i can not buy a GZ10.000 and link it with the new B2 7kw? And play with that? I don't see a problem. The problem is that the brands sells products what they clamed it is from them but it seems to come from one factory. So i see one brand with differant dealerships.

But the main focus should be commercially available auto sound equipment.
So at least it should be on some websit with a possibility of ordering for everybody.
Well, having it on you internet shop actually doesnt do it...
Additional Guidelines:
Equipment must be available for purchase through legitimate auto sound retailers. For clarification purposes, the dBDRA defines a legitimate retailer as any business that is legally licensed to conduct auto sound related transactions, operates a retail establishment that is open for business at least 40 hours per week, and is a factory authorized dealer for the equipment in question.

Not that I have any objections against that, but still that rule might have to be adapted a bit to the 2.0 age of the internet.
Many stores do not even have a physical place, but only do their business on the net.
Again, I'd say as long as there is a "REAL" possibility of purchasing (and receiving the product) for everybody (meaning that anyone can also get that information on where to buy it)I believe that it would be ok'ed?

AGREED !! Finally somebody who see the problem, and have the balls to say it !!
It seems most are busy protecting their own interest, instead of looking at the big picture, and see how we can work together to bring in new competitors... Have you noticed, that we really really need them to survive ?

Thats why i also say for years banned the panda's and crx's. Let people try again in new cars.
I'am really sure that it would be nice. Everybody trying new cars new way's to get loud.
When there will be car that is also loud banned it again.
Wich new member is comming with an old panda from 1990. Yes nobody. Who is comming with a CRX. Yes nobody. New people have cars that are now cool for tuning.
That are really not panda's and crx's.
What about the rules for the equipment. I don't know what is better. Buy a DD Z woofer for 5000 euro's or buy a old trf and put parts in from a brand that delivers the parts for that woofer. I think a new member choose for the best value.
5000euro for a woofer that can be used in street. I think it is just as bad as using a panda

Who said that? If you pay me 30k you can buy my Marbella, so it is commercially available.

Exactly!
but...
Ban Ban Ban, I think this is not a solution, but MAYBE splitting the street and joining with street stock.
Example 2 classes for each, 2 for street (pro) and 2 for street.
Or even only one street (pro) class and 3 for the former street stock, with limitations like 2kW amp, 3kW amp and 5kW amp.

@ Team Carmania. You and i we both know the supplier for Cactus Cones and now for GZ cones. It is the same guy. Those cones have nothing to do with a DD Cone. Also the supplier of that cones and GZ confirmed to me that they are not able to build a 18" cone.
Believe me, if i can see it exactly if it is a DD cone or not!
Furhter i had a written confirmation of Jassa Langford (boss of DD USA) with me, that DD ist not delivering ans speaker parts to other brands.
So that woofer was not commercial available. So not in the rules. Judges decided it is ok. Now for me a reason to stop supporting DB-Drag.
Come guys. Keep on killing DB-Drag with that **** things

not sure which year it was, but in either 07 or 08 finals here in north america, a canadian team was DQ for wanting to run a different dustcap after qualifying. I could have wrong brands, but i think they need to run an American Bass dustcap or an Atomic woofer, or visa versa. Something like that. The parts are the same manufacturer and i believe identical parts as well, just rebadged under a different label.

Did you ask the judges, if you could use a woofer with parts that was not commercial available ?
I told it to the Judges, and they told me they will make a meeting because of this.
