I have always said for over years now that every judge think they know a panda but they don't know.
The panda is produced in Italy and nowhere else.
If you have a panda MK I or a MK II. It doesn't matter. The chassis is always the same. Only interior things are differant. That meens that the holes have to be there. If panels are different or seats? that is possible.

Yes, there might have been some issues, but when judges dont know these cars, they can hardly tell what have been done to circumvent the rules or not.
And please remember, that YOU (not YOU, but the european competitors) have pushed the rules so much in the past, that street have become a complete joke..

I think its fine that you post pictures, and discuss about rules, but do so in a nice tone.

There´s welding done in some european cars to fix rust, the funny thing is that the added metal are a lot bigger than the rustholes.. [What]

But I guess it´s a difference if the modification is done in Europe or Brazil [Roll Eyes]

Thank you for settling this down because it had a real chance of getting worse and I agree with what you say.

It is very difficult to judge a vehicle you are not familiar with and perhaps have never even been in one but I'm fairly certain that all cars have door handles and window roll up handles and most certainly, every car I have seen since the 60's has seat belts wether it is law to wear them or not.

So, now that we have seen a few examples of what should not be allowed, there are at least a few things to consider.
1. What do we do about the infractions witnessed?
2. How do we ensure this does not happen again in the future?
3. How do we let the people know that made such modifications aware of the probelems even though they are clearly stated in the rule books?

Clearly some changes need to be made and perhaps the judges need to conveine in private to discus the issues.
I'm guessing Wayne is already aware (maybe).

I think if the judges would handle the rulebook as it is, we would have much less problems.

A backseat in street have to be closed at any time. So where is the problem to judge that?

Commercial available for everybody?
Cut off date?

Nobody is taking care about that anymore. Cactus Woofers with original DD-Composite Cones? Is that commercial available?

Judges answered to me DB-Drag is Formula 1 in Car Audio Sport. It is allowed to do that. What a joke

I´m really disapointed what happend on WF in Germany. Now i saw the pics from Brazil. Crazy, it seems like we need no rulebook anymore. Everybody can do what he wants.

I have no problem to judge by the rulebook, but are you sure we're talking about the same rulebook.

No way...The carbon cones were available since May 2009 at least...Are you sure that this is a DD cone? This is a very serious accusation and you should reconsider your post unless you 100% sure about that...

The fact that the cones look similar does not state that they are identical...First of all the CS subs have a 4" voice coil...As far as i know the DD subs do not have such a big VC...
Your protest should be adressed to some competitors who used different dust caps instead of the original CS dust with the green carved cactus tree ... But i don't think that this is against any rule...

You tell me....

Section 5 - Auto Sound Equipment Regulations

All auto sound equipment must be (or have been) commercially available. The determination as to whether a product is (or was) commercially available shall be at the sole discretion of the dBDRA.

Additional Guidelines:

•Equipment must be available for purchase through legitimate auto sound retailers. For clarification purposes, the dBDRA defines a legitimate retailer as any business that is legally licensed to conduct auto sound related transactions, operates a retail establishment that is open for business at least 40 hours per week, and is a factory authorized dealer for the equipment in question.

5-5

Auto sound equipment introduced less than 60 days prior to the Season Cut-Off date will not be permitted at the Finals or at ANY multi-point event. (Products must actually be shipping and commercially available at retailers 60 days prior to the deadline date.) Please visit www.termpro.com/dbdrag/rules for specific deadline information.

i was told if its commercially available then any one can use it so if i buy dd cone catus sub and dc coils and b2 spiders and ia tinsel and a dd dust cap who is to tell me i cant use this stuff its all commercially available. any one can call around and get the parts and even the dealers can.

so i dont see what the beef is i can see if the parts were not out by the cut off date but if they were who cares its all good.

while everyone is bitching I gotta throw this out there...Pandas are not commercially available here in the us so how can they be used? I know this is going to piss off alot of people and that is not my intention, just the fact that it is not commercially available is my question......Even if you get one you cant drive it on the streets unless you make it emissions compliant. That would mean an engine swap.
