Are you sure ? I am still little worried, since our original flight was cancelled and all. Damn I hate people if they are too pussies to fly and there is no plane that goes to the US at that time...

I think that only germans will bring 2 cars.
I talked something with Oki and he said almost 10.000 USD (just for container with car), but I am not sure if this is just for one way.
First he need to bring car to harbor, than boat, than he needs to fly to US, rent car and trailer, than he need to tow car to Finale, stay at couple of hotels longer than others, than same way back... a lot of effort, paperwork, time...
I think that we all need to congratulate such competitors just to be at finale.

Hi Peter ! No it´s for both ways, just the cars. Not the people and flights (additional 1000$ each person) The reason, why it is so expensive: They take up our cars at home, carry them to harbour, ship them over sea, bring them to Nashville then unload and competing is our job. Sunday evening, we upload the cars into the containers, they bring them to US harbour, ship them back over the sea, and deliver them right to our doors at home. So we can save a lot of trouble. (not included the World Trade Trouble)
Normal shipping for a 40 feet container is about 4000$ two way...

btw. is there anyone else from Finland or who would for some strange reason speak Finnish, in Nashville ???
I am travelling with 6 Swedish friends, so I guess I will be listening Swedish (which I don't understand none) and English for almost two weeks. So I would be very glad and surprised if I could say or hear few words of finnish
(I read, write and understand english 'ok', but speaking is another story...)

yepp i got the new flight route today ( AA is closing down from Sweden).
We gonna ride Finnair to Manchestere UK and change to AA from there...So we are on the way

Tee, oh yes and I know you will make me happy by letting me hear some Finnish during the trip (my earlier post...) But it's not really the same as having a conversation... well who knows, perhaps I learn more swedish listening you guys, but then again, hey, we are going to be in the US, I expect english !!!
