wow! you re use the surrounds on the 9917s?

On my old 9917s I tore them totally down to just the cone, had to clean the cone and put the new surround and coil on, that was HORRIBLE!!

It would have been alot easier re using the surround for sure!

How long did it take from start to finish to get em together?

the first pic that he posted about the subs u can see he's cutting the surounds
the other pic with the cone out the frame u also see the edge is gone

I thought the surround was still on in that pic, I was wondering how he was re using the surround, now i see he wasn't

if your really careful and use the white glue, you can reuse the surrounds.

I bet its a real time consuming process to tear them off though, but it would be cool to see it done

i think a new serround is always better and 1 ouwer more work and the costs of the serround cant be a problem wen you recone a sub of 5000 euros

The Finns re-use the surrounds, not sure on the glue but apparently a heat gun is used and they just peel off.
