Hi, yes I will visit the world finals this year, again. But not with our Ü2 car, sorry, too expensive. But maybe we take an Audio Control Meter with us, and measure some cars, because nobody believe me and my ears (c; I will meet some friends in Nashville, that I found in this Forum and by chatting with AIM this year. Maybe two competitors from Germany are at the finals and compete with their cars. RESPEKT !!! But I just wan´t to set my "Üüüühh!!!" Virus to the US SPL Guys, hehehe.
it might be interesting for some people from USA to know how much it cost and how much time it take to ship car to USA and back. So can you give them some information about that.

hm, it´s different and difficult to say a correct price. It depends on much more things... How much people are poing, what a car is it and can it drive, how big is it. How much equipment must be shipped and so on.... One German competitor told me, that his car go by plane ! The Audi A8 from Team Car Hifi Fischer. Just the transport costs about 48 000 DM ( 21 000$), said Mr. Fischer. But plane is about 5 times more expensive than ship, but more than xx times faster... And one person needs about 2500 DM (1100$)for hotel, rent-car, food etc. Maybe a trailer must be rented for this time, and insurances must be paid... If you count together for a small SS car with two persons and ship transport, hm , must be 10-15 000 DM (4300-6500$) and a big Extreme car with 4 persons and ship transport about 13-20 000 DM (5600-8700$) or more... Thats my calculations, may somebody correct me if i´m wrong. For our SS1-2 car I have calculatet 14 000DM (6000$) with two persons. (Duties and some other costs are not included)

From Sweden&Finland there is coming a party of 6 (or more) people in the World Finals. One is me. But we are also coming without cars... way too expensive like Oki has explained.

it takes a lot of time and preparation, paperwork, shipping, air flight preparation, hotels, rent a car, paperwork in USA, shipping car back... NIGHTMARE
and second thing: goods are more expensive than in USA.
But Michaels calculations are very optimistic. I think it can cost way more.
