I made a new rule for all danish events in 2006.
All cars must be open during the show, and you are not allowed to cover your install in any way (only the vent can be covered, so you cant see inside the box).
At the same time, i also told that all measurements must be done in the lanes, so the spectators have something to watch - instead of everybody only qualifying once, and then test with the PC covered up in the pit...

I even put it here a while ago, in another discussion. Most loved the idea, but some also began to bitch and asked if i could make my own rules etc.
Yes i can - its a rule about how the show is run, and every showpromoter can do the same if they want.
Some are afraid of loosing competitors if they do it - but they wont.
They have nowhere else to go to compete
And even if you loose a few, you will most likely gain more new competitors becourse they can actually see whats going on.

dB Drag Racing is supposed to be fun - and its not fun to watch 30 panda's covered with blankets, making weird noises...

It was almost the route we did take , 1e ferry we did also , but then we drived up in Denmark to take a 2e time the ferry there ( was a little distance ) about 10 minutes on the boat Real "going"
The prices you mention : yep that we aspected also then - in that time we did go to there sites to inform us about the prices - but when we arrived our car + trailer was a bit longer then they liked .... ( glad we didnt go in on the "weight" thing or it was totally crazy )
If we should done everything 100% true there rules regards lenght and weight it would have been about 270 Euro for 1 x ferry ( so 4 x that amount to get home ) At that time we did payed that ones > first ferry > then we did get "smarter" and just needed to pay about 125 Euros ...
All in all : it go's ,
but costs regards feul + the extra ferry's ( or bridge ) is not little , those ferry costs are always a naughty surprise

But , well , if its word it and it can be planned i would do it again ,
even Finland is on the list of favorites
