Hello!!
I go to start in the DB Drag in this end of year, and have a doubt on my Street category: I must use a capacitor of 1 Farad, therefore I repaired that the competitors do not costumam to use.
Thank's

because a powercap isn't quick enough to give the power that your amp need..

when you actually burp you'll need at least a few hundred ampere's and a powercap cannot give you that for 3 seconds. i don't know the exact reason why it isn't used but this is what they told me and since i don't know anyone who is using any (and gets good scores) i wouldn't recomment it

i'm not gonna use it for my subs anyway..
it's better to place a special battery like the optima yellowtop or an exide then using a capacitator

Hi Marcos_SuperSom you from Brazil? Cool I use to live in Guyana. IS db Drag big over there? Got any pic of the cars from there. Would love to see how the cars look there.
PS what Kools Bart said is true. I would not use one.

When you burp, a cap will be empty after a few milli seconds, as soon as its empty it then becomes a drain on the system, drawing power from the battery trying to recharge.

Thank's for the tip of the capacitor, my battery is of lead-acid Delphi (70A) not colbe bigger and I do not have access the Optima or Stinger.
Congratulations for its result in the ends. I place a photo of its box to see this Panda on the inside.

Thank's Mr Bump,I you imagine that this I was to happen, therefore the capacitor unloaded is a resistance very low.
