Team LOUD just played 171.9dB as their last run, backing up the 171.8. Though this was a 2X Event, so it will not be even a possible new WR. However, in most eyes it is enough
Our requirements for 3X comps seems to be different than in other countries, so there might not be any 3X'es here soon.

But they are certified and that is not bad. Congradulations to all who set new "certifieds".
And better to hold more 2x or 1x events than expensive 3x. Maybe 2 or 3 a year are more than enough. 1x and 2x are easy to hold. I did 2 shows by myself this year (1x and 2x) and the third (1x) will follow soon.
So possibilities are there, in EVERY country in the world...
So keep up the good work up there in the far north...

...........
You are right:
Rulebook: 10-2 World Records may only be set at Triple Point events and the dB Drag Racing World Finals.
But nevermind, with new TP we all know that this result (or better) can be new WR, or will be on next 3x

Well that requirements issue is between me and Wayne, I don't want to bring it to public so much... though he is not answering any mails again so I don't get his comments. Not such a big issue, but I feel little bit screwed for something we agreed earlier this season and then Wayne seemed to forget about it, except with the 3X in Finland.
And of course there are differencies, like in the US it is a whole lot different story running 3X'es than elsewhere, but that's pretty ok.
I am not complaining that we can't have 3X'es, we can, it's not that. It just something Wayne told as a requirement that we filled on our 3X but then some other countries don't have to fill that same requirement and that's why I feel I have been screwed... but that's life Posts: 575 | From: Finland | Registered: Feb 2001

Team Loud uses 6 SPL Dynamics EXT-5000D at 3 DD 9915 DVCs.
Don't know what Impedance they use, but these amps are stable to 2 Ohms.

I think their equipment, at least the woofer surrounds were pretty much totaled after the last 171.9 run and then parsed together with duct tape... so it was pretty obvious and expected the DeathMatch would not go through, but they had the fun anyway.
