I noticed some other posts about bass race not being included at finals. I also noticed there was no mention of it under the finals topic in db drag. Could someone please let us know if it is going to happen. Also how many points we will need.

Hey Ben just make sure to have your Aol Instant Messanger ready when you beat me, so I can say congrats on your World Championship --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am working closely with our turn-key event promoters to come up with a viable solution to this issue. You should know that we (I) never do anything substandard. Just look at our presentation at the Finals and all of the technology there and here on the website.
A lot of thinking needs to go into Bass Race and dB Drag Racing for that matter. We have several options...
1. We treat the world as one huge show. Competitors may compete against someone in the same building on some runs and someone in another part of the world in a different run. I am confident that we can address the technical challenges and provide scoring without any lag time. In addition, we are planning on contracting a experts for audio-video transmission, etc. But, that still doesn't allow you to shake hands with the other contestant.
2. We treat Europe as one event and the US as another. Some internet competition will still be involved. We award placement for the US and for Europe. We then take those scores and sort them to determine World Championship titles.
3. We treat each location (6 locations) as seperate Regional Championships. Contestants only compete against people that are present. Then, at the end of the day we sort scores and award European and US championships as well as overall World Championship titles.
