well i tryed building for 39.9 before and when it was done my car was stolen so i decided just to go big this time
the plan: daily pound and bassrace
the gear: kenwood hu mb quartz/clarion/lanzar 6.5 components, 1 set 1 bassworx 75.2 for the highs 2 lanzar opti 2k, one now, one more next week 4 mach 5 ixl 15s
30 8 foot 2x4s 4 4x8 sheets of mdf
I'm building a wall in the back of my buick. which made me relise why everyone uses vans or suvs.
the build has been over the last 4 days, i've taken picture all along everystep but now my phone won't work with my computer so i gotta find my camera.
the box is 23 cube feet with a 7x34.5 port tuned to 35hz center port, i'm hoping to do over a 50 with it because well i've never broken a 50 before. this is also my first wall build so its not the best.
i'm outa work atm cuz i ****ed up the ligaments in my right wrist, which is in a cast now, and well i can't sit still so this build is just flying along for me.
i'll try to get som pics up tomarow

i want to do another wall but i also want to keep my back seats this time... i'm torn. i also want to run my 4 15s in the jimmy but there isn't enough room in the jimmy 38wX35DX16H if i remember right... i want to bassrace 49.9 this time but i dunno if it'll happen. i might have to step in it to 2 spl 15s and get another opti 2k. any suggestions?

Well, if you do go the SPL 15 route, I know they do well in a 6th order because of the high EBP but 4 15's in a 4th order would have some nice low end.

i'm just building it with 2 15s behind the back seats and inder the window line, street c style. i might go to spls and get some more power later on. the jimmy is goin on the road by next weekend i hope so the destuction of the buick and build of the jimmy will start soon

from what i remember youll have more width between the wheelwells than you will depth from the backseat to tailgate so you'd want to have the port side firing to take advantage of the additional room available. Give it more port area.
Truck will probably peak at 57ish hz.
For an SPL box id make the box all single layer 3/4 mdf all one layer except a double countersunk baffle.
If you fire the woofers up Id do:
14.5 tall X 34.5 deep X 27 wide but dont forget to try woofers to the pass side. And try a waveguide in between the woofers too experimenting with different lengths of that.
Then id build/buy a 10" aero. This box gives you 6 cubes before your woofer displacement. Your port will only need to be 6" long or so for SPL. Fire the aero to the drivers side and have it centered vertically and horizontally on that piece.
For daily Id keep the same enclosure and just have the port panel removeable and interchange that with a single 8" aero coming out all the way to the wheel well minus about 2" to breathe. That should get you tuned to 35ish hz.

well the jimmy is on the road. gotta get building in that soon. hopefully getting and alarm soon then the build begins.. debating between 2 15s or all 4, 2 would be a street c legal build, and all 4 would put the box 5 inchs above the window line
