Its the first time I've seen this....and I'm actually kind of laughing lol
The novelty of it is GREAT but trying to get numbers out of a soft top is a next to impossible task, thats like trying to get a 150 in a walled convertible, I just don't see being able to pressurize that much air 3 or 4 feet away from the mic
HOWEVER!!! I do think its awesome your trying it, and if you like it and don't get pissed when it doesn't meter then screw it...its yours and you can enjoy it
I'm interested to see how it turns out though and if you have any questions I'd be interested in helping you anyway I could

Yes a wrangler...I don't really care what the meter says...Been there and done that.I have a few tricks in my bag..We shall see if I am able to hit a 150.If I can great...If I can't that is good too....One thing is for sure....Its gonna be loud It was well into the low 40's.143 and change and still climbing when 2 of my subs blew and my amp went into protect.7 or 8 seconds of a zero avg took me down to 128......Think it will burp a 50 on 5 15's and 10k???

I think with a soft top it'll be next to impossible to get it to a 150...
A hardtop shouldn't have a problem, there used to be a team that used a hardtop wrangler in street a few years back...
Can't remember the name though...seems like they were brothers or something?
I bet it would be awesome in MECAs driveby though!

Hitting 150 will be easy if you use the right design, look into a folded tractrix horn. It will allow you to play loudly without requiring a vehicle cabin. With the top off it will actually get louder.
If you can email me the maximum external dimentions I will see if its possible and what kind of cut off point is possible.

Tractrix would be the last horn I would use for bass. They just don't load well at bass frequencies. An exponential or conical would be better for bass.

Brad Eubank built a soft top jeep several years ago (2006 or so) that did REALLY well in SPL. It didn't have a wall either. You might want to talk to him. I remember the jeep, but nothing about what was in it.

Team BYOB is who I was thinking of that did street in a wrangler, it seems like they got it up to a 154/155 or so with a hardtop with a street b install
Looking back maybe a 150 IS possible with a soft top!
