How many dbs dose it take before the windshield gose poof? Who has the recent record in db on no more than 14v?

It is frequency dependent.

check the street class records, those would be the closest i can think of for no higher then 14v.

Outside the competition-lanes a Swedish Ex 3-4 car did 171dB with one amp and one 12V battery, this weekend. But I guess you didnīt ask about the Extremeclass.

Here is the Bassrace leaderboard.
I know the guy on top of the list uses 12 volts and only problems have been window seals and not the window itself.
I know Steve Mick has had issues with breaking glass, but not sure if he is on 12 or 16 volts.
Sound Check Hank i believe broke a window, and is 12 volts if i remember correctly.
Pete Sontang is 12 volts, not sure about windows.

Steve (kraven moorehead is his username) is above a 160 on a 12v setup in SS 1-2. I don't know if he's having windshield troubles or not though...

i think thats because of the huge angle ur windshield is on in that car. If it was more vertical it would have held up better imo

hank only broke one of the roll up parts not the accual glass and the crack on the windshield was allready there when he bought the van
