No need for a 3-4 db gain, just took the sand out of it [Big Grin]

I still need pics of the 400 feet of wire I am installing [Smile] I sure hope it's over kill.

A few pics of things I have been working on, I have had my ups and downs with this. Only got a few of the design pics I had taken...never realy though I would get this to work. The idea was WAY out there and took a lot of time before I was able to make it work. In my head it seemed like the only true cure to my problems but took a few months to get it worked out. I don't know if this idea is orignal, would like to think so but know better.

Say hello to my 2nd loading wall

 -

Think about all the possablitys with this boy. Front/back, tilt up/down,tilt in/out,width over cone and the affect it has with port area...and abilty to shrink the port.

Made a few changes to my roof build down, had to reclaim some head room.....people stared complaining during demos that they would hit there head when they jumped [Big Grin]

5 layers of birtch built off the roof skin/a-pillar/b-pillar, screwed and glued to the point it's crazy. The roof screws do go both ways [Eek!]

Started the "breaking of the arms". I had realy hoped I wound't have to go this far(should have seen last years being finshed) but just to make sure I have what it takes at finals decided to. Tulsa is a long ways from Mi. and have no clue if that would affect my #'s....better safe then sorry. So far I'm 1 day in to this, figure I'm going to be a little while here. The sanded pics are to 40 grit. The rest are raw. Figure I'll end up some where around 2K grit and some wax [Eek!] Last year I didn't paint the fimshed build.....maybe I will this year but people look hard when they see shinny bondo [Cool]

What problems were you having that you needed the 2nd loading wall?

The driver side subs in the port have never been pulling there own. Worth .2 db full out. The sound was not realy good, there seemed to be a delay from the distance bewteen the subs. The 2nd wall took care of that.

In July at the Taylor 2x my van was almost complete, and numbers where just about what they needed to be.....sooner or later the rest of my missing shows will get fixed.

Was burping over 160 every time(even at a 2x) with out issue. Right after the taylor show I had a blow out on the rear header on my sealed chambers. I did my best to repair the damage before the maxxsoincs show but was unable to. Even after the show I could not reproudce what I had been doing. Some where in the build that I cant see or find there is a major loss of about 3db,wishing I would have clipped it at taylor for a good number [Frown] . Belive me I have looked every where. I gave up chaseing my tail and just started over. It realy sucks that I lost so much......even though what I have gained more then repalces what i lost.........just thinking what my numbers could have been [Eek!]

Taylor 2x 160.3
Taylor 1x 160.5...with a lil more hiding [Wink]
Maxxsonics 1x 158.5.....clipped for every thing it had [Mad]
Maxxsoincs 2x 158.3 [Sad]

Currently happly over 160 again [Smile] and know for a fact the gains would have been there before [Embarrassed]

I was Bass Raceing with my seats in for a lower note.....well I had to pull the seat and still have taken a hit on my note. 40hz + 160(or better ) on daily driver subs........ Thinking the cones/surounds will go long before the coils

My door OPEN note might be scary if I can find a song to demo with.....what plays well at 28hz [Eek!]

Still clamping just a hair over 8K TOTAL...I was a lot happyer with my cheap meters that made me feel better. Impeadince rise and voltage drops will casue many nights of lost sleep.

I think one of the popular versions of "air in the night" has a drop of around 28-29hz

I will never play "air in the night" in my van.
I will find my own song, every one try's to copy but thats just not me.

I will need to find a song(s) with a constant beat, to be able to hit a low note every now and then it worthless, I will prove I can pound it all day [Blob]

For some reason when I was ordering wire this seemed to be sane and well though out. Well the math is still right but what it looks like is.......well I'm not sure what I was thinking.

32 runs [Eek!] Just 16 powers and 16 grounds....just enough for 1 run to each battery. Now I just have to add the rest of my batterys [Big Grin] ....any question as to where they are being used refer to twin Ohio gens pics [Blob]

Pete, i love your work mate. You try almost everything to gain, and best of all you're good enough to post what works and what does'nt, just like your ss n/w build. Top stuff.

I'm wondering, how does this sound like on music, doors open or closed? Would be great to have a high scoring bass racer that could pound out low tunes all day.
