Crowns can be passed on like anything else. Who will be the next KOB? Who knows....but we do know both KOB vehicles had 20+ woofers, a ton of high end and hit top scores for their time.

Steve Cotton is my KOB while Tommy is the younger crowds KOB. It just depends on when you where into car audio.

I have no opinion on this (don't "know" either "KOB"), but I've seen pics of Steve Cotton's install and it was down right beautiful. It had the install of an upper level SQ competitor.

I used to have pictures somewhere, but not sure if I do anymore.

Hmm..Steve had 24 12s in a tunnel in his minitruck in what...1994-6?

His install was badassed, doing damn near close to a 156ish back in 96 with JL 12W4s.

So yeah, I would say output they would be pretty close given 13 years worth of woofer and amp improvements.

Yes we did, well it was the Mean Machine and Terrance had just bought it from us like two weeks before finals.

I was wrong about the 12 15's that was before the 24 12's. He had 24 12's in a top bottom V or clamshell whatever you want to call it. He ended up getting Brantley Waites Us Amps. Coming back from a show in Spartanburg SC. were he did, if I remember correct a 164.9, he had a problem with his trailer and the truck flipped off and pretty much destroyed it. All of the batteries and stuff were all over I-85 between Gastonia and Kings Mountain. The weird thing was, the subs were fine and the amps only had minor damage to them. Erik Reid ended up with the amps, I have no clue to what happened to them after he got rid of them. After the wreck Steve started a van but I never saw it.

Alittle info about those amps, they were only 20 of them made. Brantley's 12 and my 6, 2 of them stayed with Jack at Us Amps, if we blew one he would send one of his to us. I would love to get my hands on a few of these again. [Smile]

Winslow, have we ever met? Like Elvis, Steve Cotton is the K.O.B. Don't take this in the wrong way, Tommy's truck is pretty amazing.

We probably have met...but it was probably around the time you won Finals. I used to hang out a little shop in Shelby called Traffik Jamz and you guys said you would loan me your RTA so I could tune my car. I wouldn't have wanted to be in your shoes being up the road from Infinite Audio...lol.

Britt says that truck had over a 160 in it, that you guys were much louder at the shop building than what was shown.

And Terrance...he never paid for that truck did he? Didn't that truck get bought by Erik Reid?

Steve posted about the accident on the old forum. He couldn't find help with product to finish the van.

Yeah, and Tommy's truck is pretty sick. Been a year or so since I saw it last.

Bill Traffic Jamz? That truck was loud. Yes Terrance didn't finish paying his bill, so we sold it to Erik Reid. Ron would always call me for help after he built something that fell on its face, I could only do so much. [Smile] I'm sure I have met you, I used to work for Shiflet & Dickson.

Yeap, Bill and Traffik Jamz. He was working at Radio Shack a few years back. Must remember James who used to work there too...he was at Verizon at one point. Ron got out of car audio and is doing home audio/automation in Ballentyne...got some CEDIA award last year. The building is still there empty. Last I heard Chad who we all knew was the talent at IA was doing custom cabinets...I sold him a dash kit few years back when I was at Freemans in G-town.
