I personally would put the subs facing forward and then make the loading wall 5-6 layers thick passengers side .
before you wreak it try the subs and port change the subs on that wall may not work with that app try moving them .
Ron, the loading wall is 11 1/2 inches thick.
ok sweet .
well i did my last show in florida i will be heading north soon and leaving with the best number ever on the meter ,i even beat my florida state finals score from last season of 158.1
today i took second place with a 158.3 .
get ur done brother .don't tear it apart but improve it

Yes sir, by meter. It hits very hard, shakes everything but the numbers aren't where I would like it to be.

wheres it at?
I see some BIG things you could change in that enclosure to get the numbers up
There is a gigantic dead pressure spot in that enclosure....between the baffle and the side of the enclosures thats hurting your SPL i'd build something to make it flush between there
And how big are the sealed enclosures? And are you sure they don't flex at all being built out of those 2x6s?

Me personaly think that the seald boxes are tuned wrong and i would get rid of two of them subs and build the seald boxes a lil bigger or make them two per chamber. They look to small for the fs they need to play at.

No, just bugged out that out of the thousands of members on this forum, you were the only idiot who spent his little hard earned money on that piece of crap. Totally remarkable.

Thanks Justin. Each sealed box is 1.6^3 and shouldn't flex. Built out of 2x10s and extensively bondoed and resined internally. The ported chamber is around 56^3. Tomorrow, I will move the sealed chambers around (again) and test. Before I put the loading wall in, I was at 48hz. I didn't get a chance to test with the wall so I actually don't know my frequency. All that will be done tomorrow.

Justin, the build year, each sub had 2.5^3 after displacement. Everyone kept telling me the smaller the sealed, the better. Also I read the smaller a sealed enclosure is, the better or (less) the impedance rise will be. In this case, my rise is outrageous.

Its going to be outrageous in a sealed enclosure anyway
You can always make load the amps down to account for that.
But that small is hurting your output, believe what you want though man
My truck when I rebuilt it to play music the subs were in 10 cubes before displacement and it would bass race over a 161
Under 2 cubes each your numbers start to go down with 18s

I appreciate it Justin. You know, I had in my mind that I wanted to burp a 55 and I would be happy. My best is a 53 and change but you know, I only have 8k and I'm not going to up my watts, not this year anyway. Maybe I'm reaching to high for 8k.

I plan to play with it and make it work. I am tired of building! Guess I will go back to 10^3 for the subs.

i agree with justin. 18"s in a 4th order should be in 2.25-3cf.net each for the sealed side, depending where you want to tune.
