I've never bassraced against Steve, and I have lost to Adam too many times. They are both the best in the world in their respective classes. I can only hope to be mentioned in the same sentence as Adam or Steve one day. They both are also extremely versatile. They can run in multiple classes to do what it takes to win. Cory is also a very good bassracer that is being modest about his skillz. I don't know anything about the rest of the guys mentioned, but what about Ed Gardner, Michael Lutz, and Mike Singer(SS Audio)? Ed is a two time world champion and should not be forgotten in this conversation. Region 5 is where it's at in Bassrace. If some of the other regions were to come to our house and see how our shows are here they would realize that it is VERY difficult to pull a win here.

I agree. I would have to say adam and steve are the two best bassracers in there respective classes. Ed and lutz are also extremly good. For a first year competitor im not doing to bad either, but i learned it all from mike and he is also one of the best in his class. O and cant forget about nick probst, hes a first year like me and is doing very well.

yeah i guess i qualify as a "good" bass racer i was one of the first competitors to figure out bass racing and spread my knowledge around about songs and freq and when to start. i also was the first to use the spectrum analyzer program on a computer to find the frequency of songs and which ones would work well, shared that one with everyone.
Sam Horn doesn't call me "The Technician" for no good reason now.
now everyone has gotten really good...and im still the same! maybe i shoulda kept all my secrets to myself!
NAAAH. its way more rewarding to beat out a full bracket of guys who know wtf they are doing, unlike winning the 39 class in 2005. i won every round with a 139.8 ffs cmon now. today i would have lost every round with that score! its almost like an easy win
there was full brackets in the 39 class in 2005 and most ppl didnt know how to bass race and i was the pro. there was FOUR people in the 49 class in 2005, but that was the first year bass race was offered...LOOK HOW IT HAS EXPLODED SINCE THEN! WOW!!!
im already getting anxious just thinking about what qualifying is going to be like in the 39 and 49 classes at finals this year...ugh i can see something ridiculous like 20 people qualify with a 139.9 and 15 people qualify with a 149.9....wouldnt surprise me to see that...
here's some close 49 bass race me vs rourke for the FINALS 2006

i would say i am the better bass racer...but...
the topic should be called "who is better at bass racing!"
then its just a cluster fock of people who are extremely good
this year my vote goes for adam trif...etc and steve mick for being better at bass racing than the rest...but id say i pwned bass racing from 2005-2006...LOL

Ed is damn good. I had never done a 49.9 till the day before finals. Perfect score in quaifying, perfect first round, then up against ed, tied for the last 10 seconds, then with half a second left I jumped to a 150.0. Some of the most fun Ive had!
